As the title says, I just watched ROAM for the first time. I know, it's been out forever and I love The Collective, I just never got around to buying it.
I finally got it and popped it in tonight and watched it with my two boys (11 and 6...11 year old rides, 6 year old can't wait). All I have to say is-- ![]() ![]() ![]() I thought it was just as good as The Collective, if not better. I think it had more singletrack themed segments than The Collective did which I loved, and the music was kick @$$. Anyway, if you've seen it--go watch it again. If you haven't seen it--don't be an idiot like me and keep putting it off. Buy it and watch it and enjoy ![]()

I really like the Sun Valley segment. I think it's the best one on the whole DVD. I love the way they shoot the singletrack segments and the music in the background fit very well.
And the riding by Steve Peat and Andrew Shandro kicked @$$ ![]() ![]()

The two greatest MTB videos on the planet are Roam and The Collective. Still can't decide which of the two I enjoy more! What sets them apart (in my opinion) is the music!!! Each and every song add to the enjoyment!!! They draw the viewer into the screen!
Can't say that about most MTB videos! Next time you go bike shopping, pick yourself up a copy of BOTH! You won't be sorry! Earthed and NWD receive honorable mention! As for Mac's- my first Apple computer was a hand-me-down CLASSIC II. I thought it was the most amazing creation of all time! Ceedub's iPhone is more powerful than 5,000 Classics linked together! How times have changed! Apple for life! ![]()

Yeah, Both are kick ass, get you pumped to ride movies. Music is sweet, The Collective got me hooked on a few bands, Slackstring, John Butler trio, and Pepper. I'll be around the house and just play one of these to catch shots as I pass by, I'll pump the tunes through out the house, as my house is wired with ceiling speakers in most rooms. Ok, That's it. I'm popping one in now to get pumped for tomorrow early am ride.

I watched ROAM with my dad and he loved it! So beautifully filmed and yeah, the Sun Valley stuff was great! I may watch it again tonight.

Wow, I didn't realize there's still people out there who haven't watched ROAM. My favorite mtb movie, ever! Better than the Collective in my opinion. I bugged Mondo over at The Path when the movie was release. "Is it in yet?"
![]() I also recommend the Earthed series, they've got some great highspeed downhill action. |

I watched Roam on the plane on my way to Whistler....
Ahhhhh the memories.... GREAT movie. My favorite part is the "extra" I think.... It's about the Summer Gravity Camp. It's all Whistler. So much fun to ride there! Watching the movie now just makes me wish for next summer! |
