Default Flash Flood Warning on TV

Just saw one of those public address messages on tv about a flash flood warning until 5pm for lancaster, palmdale, etc.

Anyone know anything else about this?

There thunderstorms in the high desert right now....the clouds on the ridge(Mtn High..Big Bear...Baldy...San Gabriels) have tons or vertical development and looks like a squall line(multiple thunder heads in a row)

Looks really cool right now. I was out on my road bike peddeling thru the neighborhood and just happened to look up at the mountains. The tops look like they maybe getting hammered. One stacked up right behind another and then another...

Yep, Scott and I were riding Wright Mountain today...fun stuff up there. Mud slides, forest fires, washed out trails and roads from yesterdays flash flooding...made for a Epic Day. We left Wrightwood at 2:30, half hour later and we may half been up there for awhile. Scott was glad we where in my truck with the higher ground clearance...we drove through a couple of bad spots on Lone Pine Road. Wrightwood had rivers for streets. He has some cool pics of the flooding, we saw this intense mud shoot...deadly stuff up there.

Give me rain over that heat any day.

yeah..i got rocked on the way from noble to temecula on 79. once i hit warner springs it was 10 mph with ridiculous rains and wind. over sunshine summit, marble sized hail started in. the trees were spraying shrapnel all over the roads as well. crazy what mother nature can do. now i know what it feels like to be in the red spot on the doppler radar.

We saw fllooding last week-end in Big Bear and that was just day 2 of rain. It's crazy all the rain the MTNs are getting. It has to go somewhere. One thing though, i'm sure Big Bear Lake is full again(it was down at least 6 ft)! My dad was trolling the lake last Sat and hit a rock (his depth finder said 13ft) he hit so hard it took a chunk the size of a qtr out of the prop.

With all this flooding I do get a bit worried for all the new building around our cabin, any dirt that had been carried in washed away on Sunday. It must look pretty rough all over the area right now.
