This has climbs but, nothing like the 3 B's. Lots of rolling single track and stream crossings. Try and make it if you can.
Just in case you can make it: Take 91 east to the 55 fwy, get off Chapman Ave, head south/east towards mountains and continue on Chapman(past Chronic tacos and The lot where we met for the Oaks ride), Chapman will turn into Santiago Canyon Road. Stay on Santiago Canyon Road for about 12 miles, make a left on Live Oak Canyon Road (Cooks Corner), we are on the right hand side 3 miles up the road. |

Haha! Next time I won't add my own commentary. Anyways, bitching bike Gary. Make sure you lock it up tonight. Worse thing that could happen is to have someone steal it. Also, I wouldn't sleep with it, we ran over some reclaimed water.

Nice bike. Pm sent. Remember, you can always ride the Oaks. it's not often you can ride with 40 other members unless you're racing. I hope you and Andrew can come out. It'll be fun, just like I told you about going up the B's. You would've regretted it if you turned back.
The brews are on ice and it's time for bed. Hope to see you tomorrow and if not have fun at the Oaks. |

Congrats - that is a sweet ride! If you get a chance, how about posting up the spec list. Some components are obvious, but kind of hard to ID some others in the pics.
I'm a little curious about the weight. I know people build their XCL's for a variety of purposes and at a lot of different weight ranges. Is that weight measured by your bathroom scale or a high tech digital? What sort of choices did you make in terms of strength vs weight? I'm asking because I"m really hoping to be buying that same bike in the next few months. My riding is definitely XC-oriented and I don't seem myself doing any drops like your vid (at least not intentionally), so I might like to try a lighter build.
