For those of you who have deep pockets and the need for a new set of brakes take a look see. Just something I stumbled upon while cruising the internet. Enjoy!

saw some on an STR ride at Tunnell in Santa Barbara. I forget the rider but he worked for Brembo.

This is just another big company that thinks it can get into the bike buisness, they have already one major desgn flaw, 2 piece caliper design. This has the disadvantages of bolt weight, 85g, a parting line down the caliper body that leads to mushey brake due to caliper flex, and poorer heat dissipation when compaired to a one piece caliper. The use of a IS mounting system is also a poor choice because these brakes can not fit any 2008 Fox or Marzocchi forks.

those brakes were on display in their booth at the 2005 Performance Racing Industry show. Had them mounted on an Intense prototype M3. I thought it was kinda funny seeing bike parts right next to Sprint Car and Indy car parts.
yeah, and the price was pretty hight also from what I remember. That guy was with MoshDH. Last edited by spookydave; 08-22-2007 at 09:36 AM. Reason: Automerged Doublepost |

Here are some nice binders for ya!
The top pic. is the street car brakes, 15 inch rotors. The second pic. is me sleeping/standing after working many 18 hour days! The third pic. is kind of a close up. The rotors cost two grand a piece, the calipers about the same. The caliper is one piece, a solid chunk (Billet Alum.) cool machining there. A Billet upright (spindle) another two grand. It cost about eight grand a corner for the whole assy. If you look at the Hat, the piece that is bolted to the rotor, you'll see all the bolts that hold it together. This is quite labor intensive to build, usually x8 or x 12 depending on the spares package the customer orders. Also the rotors take like 6 months to cure when manufactured. So if you think your brakes are expensive, be lucky you don't race!

Use to work for Saleen, building race cars for teams. Saleen sells race cars but doesn't race. I would build the street cars when we didn't have orders for R/Cs
Was supposed to go to Le Mans in 06 on Saleens dime, but the team we were helping wisely backed out, talk about a chance of a lifetime! Saleen's going downhill now, and not on a MTB. They use to have about 80 to 100 employees, there down to 30 or so now. Sorry, No tour for you one year! (big Seinfeld fan) Got a lot of pics. though.

I used to work at Eibach and we made Saleen bring us checks before we would release springs to them...
Not sure how much they owed us, but I heard it was quite a bit.... Quote:
