Laid Off...
Well, I was just laid off from Adrenaline. I guess they're overstaffed for the amount of business the shop does, and since I'm the new guy, I had to go.
I'm pretty bummed because I really enjoyed working there, but I am very fortunate for the experience and the foot in the door into the bicycling industry. I'm also very thankful because I was able to meet a lot of great people who work and shop at Adrenaline and I'm happy and proud to call them friends. I have a few things possibly lined up for another job in the bicycling industry but if anyone knows of any other openings I would appreciate a heads up.  I'm going to be in Hawaii from Sept. 2 through the 10th, so I'm available before and after my vacation for work. Thanks! Rob ...aka Woobie |

I thought the woobie name was dead? JK ...
Sorry to hear about that. Like everything in life - when one door closes some more open up. Hawaii? That's sweet, just got rid of your job and now you're going on vacation.

Bummer, Rob.
I'm not real big on the "one door closes, another opens," or "things happen for a reason" lines, but if things go for you the way they have for me lately, something better will come your way soon. That Intense gig is definitely worth a look! And Performance isn't all bad to work for, depending on the location (some branches seem to be a much different environment than others). Sure, they don't have the super-bling high-end stuff, but as an employer their size could have some advantages. Best of luck, and enjoy Hawaii!

Well this whole week I am House Sitting a half a million dollar condo in Newport Coast near UCI
Tomorrow I'm gonna do some trails in the Irvine area and check out The Bike Co. Maybe do a little bodysurfing at the beach, have a few drinks. If anyone is off these next few days lets ride Laguna Wilderness or something.  |
