good times

Thanks for the comments, everyone! I rode her on Sunday and did a whiting->stt->luge->whiting loop with Rob and Stu.
The bike - felt really good. Very stable going downhill, very active suspension, and cornered beautifully. Gonna try a shorter stem - felt slightly stretched out with the 90mm (frame is a medium). The ride - HOT! I was overheating on STT a bit. I would be hot and sweaty one minute and then dry the next with chills and goosebumps. Had to take it easy and rest in the shade a few times. Thanks for the link, chocula. |

Glad you're digging the Spot, George, looks really good.
I'd like to hear more about this "Stu" person, though. Couldn't be the one I'm thinking of, could it? Nah, ECOdork will drive his Hummer to my house in an otter fur suit w/ a gift basket of pickled giant panda feet before there's an ArrrKelly sighting on our local trails. Or maybe I just need to get out more. |

Yes Stu did make an appearance and seems to be in pretty good shape still. He was even muttering something about wanting to get a 5 Spot ![]() |

What can I say? Endangered species be damned, they claim that pickled panda's feet do wonders for your digestion, complexion, libido, etc. Works even better when you spice up the brine with bald eagle spit and manatee whiskers.
