Not a bad bike for a 26"er.... of course don't tell anyone that I said that

Still feels like a BMX bike...

Good times, Let's do it again before the end of the season up there....

I am not so fond of the modulation.... They tend to be more like an on/off switch but i am going to play with them a little and see if I can adapt for now....

Y'all just need to get used to only having to use 1 finger to haul the beast down from speed. it's a legitimate complaint. They are "abrupt" if your not used to them. But I it's like arguing that my car has *too much* horse power. I rode a friends bike with another popular brake (mineral oil based) down the cactus road in Whiting. It scared the $4it outa me!! I had to keep two fingers over the levers pulled half way in the whole way down just to stay in control. Truthfully, I wasn't used to (nor do I like) that much "modulation". I can say this. Hayes, Magura, Hope, Shimano, Avid, and others all make good brakes now. As long as there properly set up and don't fade, I could get used to any of them. I was just ribbing Jeff a little because he was bummed he'd have to "suffer" with the Hayes for awhile.

That bike is sick. I have one, too, and I dig it. You can set it up in a variety of ways and it's super light, too. I have mine with a Fox 40RC2 and Fox DHX 5.0 suspension set up with 6.5" front and back. It's just perfect. Hopefully, you'll be as stoked on yours as I am with mine. Maybe we'll see you out there schralping on the new rig.

Cheers,
