I kinda dig it... they're making the frames look more than just box stock colors. I also *really* am diggin this paint scheme for some reason:

like a lot of things (automotive) there's a finite way to design a bike especially a good suspension geometry so at some point there will be some overlap or questionable design that would get the attorney's all drooling w/ excitement

OK both have a seat tube support bar but thats about it!

Spesh have some odd colour schemes for 08 - not sure all of them are that great.
You type better than I do one handed, Keith

I've got movement back in my left thumb and first finger now - so I'm of typing two handed

Straight hunt & peck??

Clearly Specialized isn't aiming their Enduro SL's at 29er riders that aren't in their 20s-30s, huh?

Course, their anodized purple/pink Demo 7 frame probably isn't a big hit with you either, 29 wheels?? You don't know what you're missing out on!

you may have a point. As a matter of fact those shirts that Ryan Seacrest has been wearing are starting to look kinda good. But then again it may attract the Fo-Shizzle types.......not there isn't anything wrong with that.

Hmm, I see all these colors and think Hot Wheels. Well at least they didn't paint the fork to match the frame. Hmm, I just don't know about these colors and all the graphics.

Doesn't Giant make some frames for Specialized anyway?

I think that Giant's r&d department is comprised of several fax machines at other manufacturers

I work in a lawfirm that does a lot of patent infringement stuff and I'll tell you that in the 8 years I've worked here there is so many things that are copied by just about everyone.

I figure there are only so many ways to make a frame on a bike so it too is ripe for copying of a design.

Digging the new frame designs, too. I like the switch to a straight rocker system, and the uninterrupted seat tube. Another winner, I'm sure.

This paint scheme, though. Not so much. Like a giant, rolling Candy Corn. Nasty, nasty stuff.

I actually dont think they bikes are very similiar. Aside from a quick glance much of the way each bike works looks to be very different
