Bike Co Reviews on MTBR
Yep they are ranked higher than The Path and others. Well…………… per MTBR Duno what to think about that! ![]() With all of this talk about bike shops I wanted to see what the reviews had to say ![]() Last edited by LBmtb; 08-13-2007 at 02:23 PM. Reason: fixed fonts |

Not sure about being "in the dust" because they were at 4.67 chills. Not far off from the 5 mark. And, they had more reviews than the Bike Co.
Haven't been to either one but when people on STR talk, I listen. Actually I wouldn't mind going into either one. I just like mtbing to much and have become accustomed to jerks working in bike shops! Yep, I've been to CBO in SLO countless times. Bought bikes and a lot of stuff from them. Still get treated like an alien.

Don't worry... your humor is well appreciated by the Tribe. We are lucky as there are quite a few bike shops locally here in the OC that are very good shops... as you know, we've had other threads address this.

One of the coolest things is that The Path and The Bike Co get along with each other; not to mention Switchback Cyclery & Adrenaline. Remember when I hosted the St Patty's Day ride up to The Luge? Both The Path and The Bike Co asked if we could all join teams and help with the financials for a fallen rider benefit. I have spoken with the boys at The Path about other local bike shops. They are all good with everyone.
Three cheers for good LBS's!!! ![]() ![]() ![]()

I go to Bike Co., The Path, and to Adrenaline. All of those shops are particularly strong in one area or another. All the characters in each of those shops brings a different vibe, too. And, we're definitely stoked to have that many shops around that are actually good. Can you imagine if Walmart was the only place that sold bikes within a 50 mile radius of where you live? That would be...wow...don't want to think about it.
In any case, I hope that each of those shops remain strong on customer service over anything else. The customer is still king, especially when you're trying to sell $5000 bicycles.

I too go to a variety of shops in the South OC area. Pending what is needed, when I need it, and whos got it. I always make a point to LBS before internet as well, cause I want these guys and gals around when we need em'...! A Downhill stated, "stoked to have that many shops around that are actually good".
