I hope somebody sets up a group ride for the 25th this month or the 1st of next month. I'd love to give My future Yeti a workout.

Mud, If you feel the need to test ride the 575 on your local trails hit up Yeti. They got me in contact with a local racer for a demo bike for the weekend. He worked down in Oceanside area. I picked up the bike on a Friday and met up with him on Sunday to drop off the bike. I rode for Sponsorhouse.

Its already been decided that I get the bike. Its just super hard resisting buying it this week and waiting another two. That does sound awsome though!

Indeed, now its a matter of patience. As I do have speeding tickets to pay off and registration renewal for my car the first week of next month.

I think that ever since riding mountain bikes its taken away my thirst for going fast in my car i.e speeding tickets. So a cheaper vehicle is in plan. Maybe an 01 toyota tundra.

I'd like a group ride, as everyone here seems so nice and I would love to meet everyone. Although I myself do not have the knowledge of any trails to set up a good ride. Still being new to riding my legs still get tired really fast.

A few of us "Newbies" are going to do a Sat am ride with Adrenaline this SAT the 25th, they do this ride weekly, but they're going to slow it down a bit for us to ride "oaks" for the 1st time...

It's early...but will be fun....There is some climbing, but I here it worth it for the ride down...I'll have Neil (1x1clyde) post the ride. This is a very early ride, they do it before they open the shop at 10 am, maybe we'll see you there!

Oh and I will be on my Yeti ASR-slc

Default New Yeti Coming My Way

Hi everyone,

This is the first time I've posted on STR...looks like a great group!

Anyway, my Yeti 575 is on order (as of Friday)! Can't wait until it comes in! This bike replaces the 3 I had stolen a few months back, so it had to be able to climb really well and descend extremely well. I test rode it at Big Bear a few weeks back and was SO impressed.

My specs:
Yeti 575 (carbon) in white
Fox 36 Talas RC2
Fox RP23 shock
Full XT 2008
Mavic Crossmax ST rims

Will let you know how it goes once it comes in!!

SD Yeti- Did you buy this bike at Cal Coast cycles, by any chance? (It looks sweet by the way!)

No, CalCoast doesn't sell Yeti. The closest locals dealers are Zumwalt's by SDSU and BeyondBikes. Supposedly, Bike Warehouse will be offering them soon.

Got it... that was you at Cal Coast Saturday though!
Congrats on the new bike. I actually rode with Franchesca from Beyond Bikes yesterday, and it turns that she lives right by you/us. We should tear up Florida Canyon one of these days

Is she tall with long dark hair? Not sure who she is, but yeah...it's always nice to ride local.

We went to FL Canyon to test the 6.6....didn't love it (bike not trail).

p.s. I'm all about getting a biking renaissance going in SD...the biking community could be so awesome, but seems to be lacking in some areas. The only way it's going to happen is from the ground up...just a couple people here and there getting together for rides...

this saturday is actually the 18th I think. If its on the 25th then I should have my bike by then. Otherwise I cant make it with my DiamondBack. It's so hard to climb with that bike for some reason, or I;m just weak. Maybe a little bit of both.
