I blame myself. Sorry Mud.

tkblazer, correction the head angle is slack. But I understand from others it is the same as the 575. I guess I didn't preface this fact enough, my statements are solely my own and not necessarily the views of STR or it's parent company (oh sorry I digress again).

I have spent far more time on my 575 than my buds Reign. There is always a transition period when moving to any bike. I have ridden two suspended and two rigid mountain bikes with any regularity so I don't bring a huge wealth of experience to the table. Given the love of the Reign by many it is clear the Reign is a good and capable bike. However based on my limited ride comparison of the two I felt there were worlds of difference between the two.

Mudman, good luck with your purchase. To you and other 575 rider, if you ever find yourself in the Angeles hit me up for a ride. I need an excuse to get of my road bike now and again. If you want some good trails to test the 575 out on, good rocky, narrow, switchbacky, lot of exposure trails, I can be a guide.

And just because you own a Reign doesn't give you the right to butt in on our thread hijack

I blame Nam and his baby blue Reign.

Dunno about the reign so I won't comment. But I do know that my Yeti 575 kicked ass. Kind of sad to see her go. I also got her at adrenaline.

no worries and when i get a chance to take an extended demo on the 575 *ahem* Neil, Dave.... i'm sure i will agree with you that they are two different bikes. To me it seems as the 575 is more of a xc/am bike while the reign is more of a am/fr bike. Can't go wrong with either, just depends on how you ride.

I was at Adrenaline today and talked to Neil about the 575. He's giving me a killer deal so I decided to stick with the locals instead of ordering out of state. The guys at Adrenaline are great. The set date of purchase is sometime this month. As I rode Aliso today doing the Rock it? My hard tail DB was all over the place. The whole time I was saying to myself, "man that Yeti would be perfect for this"

No, we just like to cut. Quick and to the point. We might throw in a tazering for good measure though.

Good choice!

I got the armor covered at The Path... I figure Knee/Shin and some Elbow.. Also going to need a full face helmet... Still screwed on the bke though... No time to go by Beyond as I am getting ready to head to Denver for work.. Not to return until Wed or Thursday and I would like to break this monster in at BB next weekend...

I did not either, but the little voice in the back of my head that has been talkin about this is progressively getting louder and it seems that riding some of these rigs the other day was like crack and the voice is screaming now and out of control and I can think of nothing else going to implode soon unless I satisfy this urge

or at least that's the excuse that I am using

I'm sure glad I have both covered.

My original plan was to get the Yeti 575 in 3-4 months. Then it moved to the end of this month, BUT I've got the itch to pick it up this week!
after riding The Rock-It at Aliso with my DB response sport I couldnt stop thinking about the 575 after thinking about it DURING the whole ride.
