Yes, I've ordered parts from them before and they are good guys and a reputable business.
However, I bought my Yeti 575 from Adrenaline in Orange CA. One reason is any new bike will need some mechanical tweeking (mine had an hellacious creak) and if you mail order a bike and you're not a bike mechanic, you end up paying your LBS to solve the problem. I spent hours trying to quiet my creaky bike with no success, but Gabe at Adrenaline fixed it in 30 minutes. No charge.
Also, I wanted a real light weight custom build (24 pounds 10 ounces without pedals) and Adrenaline did it at a price no one else could match, even mail order.
I have had the bike 2 months now and the more I ride it, the more I discover what it can do. My riding has definately improved since I got it.

Seriously, it was that bad. The front wheel felt like it wanted to be full right or full left. It just felt choppered to me. May be a preference thing but that it totally the way the set up felt to me.

Actually, mine does that now, and also did it with a QR 130mm All Mountain SL. Maybe it's just something about the design?? I don't know. It never really bothered me that much either way, but it is still there in 160mm mode.

Hey, I just bought my Reign a month ago, and it's the only full suspension bike I've ever really ridden. Maybe the tire is flopping around... but judging from the thrashing I gave Cowles Mt. last night, I doubt it

not sure what you mean about the wheel flopping around, i run a z1 light on mine and the front end is pretty stiff. I'm also running a longer stroke shock so its pretty slacked out. The bike isn't light, but i'm not exactly easy on my bike and i'm not xc weenie although i wish i was. It has been air bourne in more than one occasion and came out without an issue. I am looking to retire the frame though, i do not see the need in a 6" or 6.75" bike in my case for the trails i ride here in OC.

I've been thinking of buying a Z1 light w/ETA, if you do retire it.

I guess the best way to describe it would be choppered. If you stand next to the bike and hold it at the saddle, the front wheel wants to roll to one side or the other. This feeling is exaggerated when seated due to sag. According to PacMan this seems to be the same with 130mm of travel. ???? I'm not trying to say the front end is sloppy due to fork/axle flex. With a 20mm axle one shouldn't notice much flex.

Got it. I can see where your coming from, especially with a Manitou Swinger on the rear end. Personally, that's what attracted me to the bike. I wanted a bike with downhill traits (the aforementioned slack HA) that I could still peddle. If the 575 and the Reign do have the same head angle, I bet it's the extra sag from the Swinger that gave it the choppered out feeling. But, what evs, to each his own. I'm trying to retire by 58, so this will hopefully be the last bike I buy for awhile (well, last FS trail bike.. I still need a track bike, and SS 29er )

you say it feels choppered, but in another post you complain about the head angle being steep... which is it? I do agree with you about the wheel turning quickly when you are holding it. that happens to me every ride when i am changing the seat height, but i only notice it when i'm OFF the bike..compared to my ss and bmx, the reign is way slacker and a big bike slow steering feel to it.

I once test rode a 575 on the Loop and I crushed the frame just like I crush my Budweiser cans. I'll stick to Motiv.

I think I saw you on the Loop week before last. Big hairy guy on a Motiv, in pink lycra shorts and a Luna Chix jersey right?

haha thanks guys, everyone turned my thread about insight to the 575 a competition against the reign and a playground.

maybe a new thread can be made for direct competition for the 575 and Reign. On the next group ride we can duke it out on the bikes.

Blame the stock market; I needed a 575/Reign shootout to distract me from the carnage
