Default hey riders...how was your weekend ride?

so, its my fault for not checking on here first, but this past weekend, i went on my first ride to fullerton loop...and yes as i've read on many sites, i got lost (apparently we went to wrong way?)...i also ate it, pretty bad twice! (both my knees and elbows are wounded)it's pretty terrible, i went right over my handle bars, someone please tell me how am i supposed to break because i must be doing it wrong! the second time not even 100 ft from my first fall i flew off my bike to the side, i paniced because of how much speed i got, and i think i was still a little nervous because i had just fallen!...lucky for me there were no horse droppings!!! other than that, the loop was pretty good, although i don't actually think that i went through all the parts i was supposed to...does anyone know if i was actually supposed to go through la habra? anyway...i have to take my bike in this week, because i bent my back rim in like 3 places! so, other than that, next weekend myself along with 4 other people are supposed to go up to bonelli park...hope everyone else's weekend was great!

Read about the Black Star newbie ride and you'll know how a lot of week end ride went.

Join us on Thurs evening at 6:45pm, 5:00pm for the pre-loop, and you won't get lost. I promise!

Try to keep your weight to the rear over the rear tires because most of the braking power is at your front wheel.

On technical sections with roots and rocks when braking, your front wheel is going to be prone to catching a root or rock and locking up if you are applying too much front brake and/or are too far fowrward in the saddle. When going downhill and braking over technical stuff stretch out your arms and get your body over the rear wheel, Make sure you are not using too much front brake and allow the front wheel to roll over rocks/roots, while using your back brake more to stop you from going too fast.
