Sports Chalet is probably the best big box store though. Wait till Specialized gets a hold of them. They will probably start making ski's and snowboards, maybe even golf equipment and treadmills. Another concept store!

Uhhh NO! I believe Tani made that statement after that broken Ellsworth frame (hanging from the ceiling) hit him in the head. A concussion... that is the only explaination.

Truth is your bike is WICKED!!! I think you should post another pic of it! C'mon make the Boys jealous!!

BTW- I am 100% officially in for one more Mammoth trip!

Sweet, dude! Let's hit it up! Make sure your ankle is healed up first! I wouldn't want anything to hold you back!

That is Funny. What more could you expect from a guy on a Walmart Special Iron Horse.

I don't know any of you but wish I was there. Sounds like the trip had a lot of trash talking.

Thumbs up

Dino.... I know you an excellent rider and your IH is a great mount. The fact that they were thinking of you when they threw the IH on the pile of trash at Beek's speaks to how well you are thought of in the STR community....

You have done well young grasshopper.

Ride-on in peace....

OMR- THANK YOU FOR THE KIND WORDS! I CONSIDER THE MEMBERS OF STR TO BE A SECOND FAMILY. IF MY WISE GUY HUMOR BRINGS A SMILE TO A "FAMILY MEMBER'S" FACE- I WILL HAVE CONSIDERED MY POST WORTH IT! WHEN THEY RETURN THE FAVOR (ie. bike in trash pile) OH MAN, THE SMILE HAS NOT LEFT MY FACE ALL DAY. THANKS AGAIN!

Dino... Hope your ankle heals up quick dood! You need Iron Horse socks to make your ankles indestructible.
Mechmann busted my balls pretty good in Mammoth. One of the better one's had me sitting in Andy's Tahoe... Bikes were in the back. Mechmann walks up to me and asks, "what would YOU do if YOU had to ride an Iron Horse with KHS stickers plastered all over it?" I told him I would throw it away. He smirked and walked away. The first thing I thought to myself- what did that swine do to my bike? He covered my Iron Horse with a KHS search and rescue sticker. Oh, he got me alright!

Wait until next months Mammoth trip- I will be taking my smack to Mt. Everest levels! That is all I am going to say!

Dino, props to you for leaving the IRONFARCE there for someone else to use, after all, what other brand bike could you leave out in the open and expect no one to steal it?!!!

Yeah, I could see those other brands of bikes breaking, mostly b/c the people that buy them usually huck things higher than a curb! The people that shop at Big 5, Sport Chalet and Wallmart for bikes usually don't take them off road, unless there are leaving them on a "Trash Pile" for others to use. I've personally broken 2 Spec. frames and my bikes get a fair share of abuse. IRONHEARSE frames are built with triple wall size tubing, so I guess that's why they don't break?

I would probably speak for most people when I say...
I would rather push my broken Santa Cruz/ Specialized/ Turner, 10 miles, than ride an IRONANCHOR 10 feet!

It's funny, most of my framesets cost more than I/H complete bikes, for that matter, most of my wheelsets cost more than them too!

So you really think your statement about a "safe and reliable way to get back down the mountain' is accurate? Not if their on an I/H!

Oh yeah, I'll give you one guess to who's idea it was to put That pile on the other pile and snap some photos?

Take care my friend, and heal quickly!

Hoosierdaddy- I was wondering where you were. I must admit your post was (pretty much) a dead-center knee to the nuts! Too bad for you mine are made of IRON!!!

Oh Man, I am still laughing! You are a supreme A-Hole! I think you know that- You do know that... right?

And YES, the second I saw that bike resting atop the pile of trash- I knew EXACTLY who the lead photographer was!!!

As wonderful as your insults have made me feel- save a few for that ever promised Iron Horse Bashing thread!

OK.... As everyone was saying, I am a great rider, I can take a ribbing, my bike is great, I am a great rider....

I recall talking to Billy Griggs who used to race BMX for Iron Horse and when they started producing mountain bikes, he got ahold of one and went to race it. He wanted to race in the pro class but they said he couldnt since it was his first time racing a mountain bike. Well he ended up in the amateur class and lets just say, he needed to be in the pro class!! Not bad for his first time...

Dino, flattering will get you nowhere!

just remember... I wouldn't tease you if I liked you!

As for I/H bashing.... it's like shooting ducks in a barrel. I don't have to put much thought into it! Although I used up a lot of good material in this thread, as usual there is plenty more where that came from!

Oh Man- I almost had a heart attack. For a second there, I thought Mechmann slapped a made in China sticker on my bike.

Rest assured, the TEAM model is made in the good ole' U S of A.

Yet ANOTHER Iron Horse gracing the "pages" of STR!?!? Remember when I said, we are taking this website over "one bike at a time?" I wasn't lying now was I? More converts are on the way.....

Have fun in Tahoe.... Tell Meghan I like the bike!

Hoosierdaddy,

Thanks for confirming that you are the person bashing on my bike. I wondered who that was. FYI...I love my bike. I would give you a hard time but - I'll be kind this time.

As you know I have a soft spot for people that wait up for new mountain bikers and slooooow mountain bikers.

If you have an IronHorse - You don't need 6 mountain bikes.

EZZYRIDE- Don't worry about Hoosierdaddy. I have something planned for him!

Another Iron Horse rider!

You are ABSOLUTELY correct, "you don't need 6 mountain bikes" if you ride a Horse.

Note: Hoosierdaddy will make a 4th grade response to that statement. Dino will return the favor with a PHD level payback. In time.... Be patient!
