Default 2008 Rocky Mountain preview

I thought that some of your guys would like to see this. Some have been asking about what is new in our 08 line-up, so I thought I would share with everyone.

Flatline
flatline1.jpg
flatline2.jpg
flatline3.jpg

This bike is replacing the long running and always evolving RMX in our line-up. This is an adjustable 7.3 to 9.0 travel bike. Low, low, low center of gravity and balance. 1.5 headtube, and internal headset. This bike has a very low standover height (I should of had someone model in one of the photos so you get the idea). Its also going to come with a chart to help you determine bike angles say you adjust the rear shock and put a single crown fork on compared to a dual crown. It will give you BB height, HA, SA, wheelbase, etc, etc. This is helpful if you want to use this bike for Downhill racing for one event, or freeriding later on. Weight of the frame will be right at 11lbs with a DHX coil. Not to shabby. Thomas Vanderham been testing this one, and he love it (that the report I get) It's pretty sweet. This bike will come in 3 price points starting at $2,649, ?, and the full downhill version will be around $4,500.

Slopestyle Slayer or Slayer SS
slayerss1.jpg
slayerss2.jpg
This is the bike our teamriders have been being for. 6 inches of travel like all the slayers, but a raked out HA. 66 degrees on this one compared to 68 degrees on the Slayer SXC. Beefed up all around, ready to take some serious abuse. Wade's been testing this one for a few months now and he can't enough of it. Prices are not yet determined.

We do have a steel 29'er coming out as well, and a few other bikes that are not finalized so I can't talk about them. Tell me what you think? Any questions let em know. I'm hoping to have a demo of both of these by the Southridge series in Jan.

Cheers!

Woobie, for the first time in your life you can say you share something with Wade. both of you guys have broken my demo bikes!!!

Only, Wade has talent...... I'm just kidding.

Shinken, when I get the 29'er your first on it! I'll let Adrenaline know. Hopefully I see one before Interbike.

Not sure if we are running Ultegra or Dura-Ace, I think they are going to speck that out later. But this Flatline proto was running Dura-Ace.... I believe?

The fork on the Flatline at the moment is a RS Domain, all the guys are LOVING that fork, more than they totem believe it or not. I guess they were having problems with the Totems at Whistler so they specked the Domains for the Entry level Flatlines. Only the downhill model is coming as a bare frame, the 2 other models will be painted. We are trying to keep the DH version as light as possible. We are shooting for a sub 40 lbs build, if possible. It will be close. I'm really excited to get one as test it out!

We will have 22 of them at IB, so hopefully I can just throw one in the back of the truck for a little So Cal visit, and maybe a Mammoth visit.........

rmb socal you state that only the downhill version will come unpainted, does that mean this is the new switch aswell.

as i have noticed 3 shock mounting holes so you could run 3 different length shocks to give theoretically 3 different travel settings,or am i barking up the wrong tree.

could you also let us know what size bb and rear wheel spacing it will be using.

Konut,

As you noticed 07 is the last year for the Switch and RMX... Sad to see them go. But these new bikes are much nicer. Really the new Slayer SS is replacing the Switch and the Flatline is replacing the RMX.

Yes the travel is adjustable as you noticed, but I believe you are able to run the same shock in the 3 settings. I could be wrong thou, I need to ask our engineer and find out the offical answer. I'll also let you know about BB size and RR spacing. I don't want to post an answer that isn't 100% correct.

Thanks!
