Default My first LOOP experience

I got the crazy idea to drive up from San Diego to ride the Loop since I don't have to work tomorrow. What a blast!! I'm really glad I came.

I just wanted to say thanks to everyone who was out tonight. I had a great time!! It was also cool to finally be able to put some faces to names. Thanks for showing me the Loop.

Also, thanks to Jeff for the lift to and from and what tasted like the best In N Out Double-Double I've had in a long time. I guess waiting until 9PM to eat dinner will do that.

I suppose I won the long distance traveler award tonight--a dubious distinction at best. I finally got home at 11:45

I was able to pick up my STR jersey too. Now I can FINALLY represent in SD!!

Thanks again

I've never done this ride before, but it seems pretty damn famous.

Where exactly is it, or is that confidential information?

Yo Pacman. Not sure If I saw you last night at the loop. There are a lot of new people I have not met since that was my first loop experience as well.

I was riding the red Chumba last night. It seems you got off safe last with no injuries. LUcky you.

BTW, we appreciate you driving up from San Diego. From San Juan Capistrano it took me 1:30 to get to the loop!!!!!

I'll set up a ride for Sept 8 if that works for everyone??

Full Tour. Start pretty early. If the weather is really hot later this month I'll probably post-pone. Don't want anyone getting heat stroke or bad dehydration...

I tend to prefer doing the longer rides further from home (especially for the OC peeps) on Saturday's... but if everyone wants the 9th we can do that.

That ride was plagued by the ghost of Steven Jackson. Skippy crashed on a completely flat, un-rutted part of the trail. I stopped and leaned my ride on a fence to help him up and somehow my front tire got a bunch of cactus thorns in it. I thought it was ok but it was losing air which (along with tire choice) attributed to my crash.

Wierd stuff. All that being said, I am still glad I went on the ride because I finally met PacMan, good riding with you bud.

I was RIGHT behind him when he crashed. And it was indeed very straight and very flat. So i think we all know what the only logical reason he crashed was. Magic

sorry you got cursed dude. way to ride on though, you hit pretty hard
