Default Ironhorse Riding on my Roof

I am looking to get a Thule roof rack for my car. I have been on the website for Thule and it does not seem like they sell a fork mount rack for thru axle Manitou Minute 3 thats on my IH MK III.

Is my only option leaving the wheel on ?
I would like a fork mount rack, it lowers the bike a bit and seems more stable.

Any thoughts?
And no I am not interested in hitch racks, I have had 3, and they are not for me. You might like them, thats ok.

Thanks Mechmann. Funny you say that about the rear ending with the bikes on. We took a Mammoth/Yosemite trip early in July and we had 4 rigs on the back of my Land Rover Discovery. I drove over 1000 miles, and kept thinking, if someone nails us from behind those beauties are history. But my expert mountain driving skills kept us all safe.
Unfotunately the 1000 miles also took a toll on the bikes, we had to stop at Footloose in Mammoth and fix problems as a result of them bumping into each other.

Default The Fataxle is Phat!

This thing rocks, I picked one up I think at Jenson for like $30. I just bolted it to tyhe tray I had, & it just clamps to the cross bar. It clamps down & locks, so loading is super easy.

I like the Fat AXLE. It clamps down tight.

I do own a 20mm Fork UP. http://jensonusa.com/store/product/R...s+Fork+Up.aspx

The thing that makes me nervous about the Fork up is the bikes axle bolt has a little play when attached to the Fork Up. Could all of that bouncing around scratch the bolt? Weaken the bolt? Don't know. Makes me wonder though...

Nice bike!
