Question Trail Du Jour...name it ?

Took this on a ride yesterday. 1st what the heck is it (no clue) but inspired by our trail guru's (Steppie) thread can you name the trail it's from? If it's too easy maybe name the trail in my avatar from our ride on Friday. My favorite place!
Try posting something completely random from a common trail and see how observant we are in naming the trail. Ride on...

(see ya at The Path sale later then Aliso)

I don't know for sure but I think it is VFR aircraft controller radar. Gene would probably know for sure.

You're close Chris...it appears to be a VOR(very high frequency omnidirectional range)...which does kinda what you said....it sends out radio beams(radials) in every direction and is accurate to w/in 1*....it is a Navaid used for IFR and VFR flights...I think this particular navaid is no longer in sercive b/c it doesn't appear on my current charts for the Big Bear area unless it is located more than 5nm to the east of Big Bear airport(thats where my chart ends)....

Nice Chris, and Shu is spot on, I guess the trail it's near would be near Fawnskin. As far as the avatar pic. I know you she likes Aliso, but it's hard to make out which trial.

Ah YES you are right...Bonelli. There is an airport right there, too. Thanks for the info. that thing looks so odd no one could ever figure out what it was. Avatar is not Aliso but had a great ride there this afternoon ran into Steamrolen as he was climbing Rock-it and nearly ran over a rattler just below the rock garden. Perfect conditions...overcast, cool and rained a bit. Didn't buy anything at The Path but looked like a kegger coming in as I was leaving so should have stuck around for a few .
Here's a bigger pic of the avatar: Lots of PO there!!

Ya I spoke to Rich(Steamrolen) just as I was leaving the Path and he was heading out. I was tired from working all night then riding at the Qaks. Sorry I missed you at the sale, I was there till 1:30 or so. By the time you got there, I was probably asleep by then. Hope to see you soon.
