Willie lost footing on one of the washed out switch backs that have a big drop into a hole in the ground. She skinned her arms and has a lot of scratches and bumps.
She is hurting . She was ripping it up there and she likes the ride. It was a freak thing that happened. One of my friends that was with us went into the ditch also. He didn't get so beat up. He was lucky. We didn't take pics we needed to get out of there it was getting to hot.
My Willie is soo tough. She still rode the rest of the ride all out of it and bleeding. I rode her bike that was all twisted up the rest of the way. Willie will need some recovery time I think. I'm thinking Sat she will be back in action .

Yeah I biffed and it sucked. Luckily my husband and our friend Steve are heroes and Jason rode back up San Juan trail for about a mile uphill when he heard me yelling. Mostly just yucky scrapes and lots of bruises--luckily nothing broken and no teeth missing!

Anyway, I might make it tonight. It hurts to ride, but it's fun so it kinda makes you forget about pain.

Bummer, but take solace in the fact that you've reset the clock so to speak. So now you shouldn't be due for a crash for awhile.

At least, that's what I keep telling myself when I go down.

Heal up quick!

Heal quick !! Jesse lost a bet and has to wear lycra on the thursday loop so we'll hold off on the payoff till we can both be there to witness THAT carnage!!

For some reason George's last comment reminds me of the day CC and I got Steven Jackson's girlfriend drunk and sent her on her final huck off Potato Mountain. I believe all those pictures were destoyed to protect the innocent. It was an accident I swear!!!

Man, if you're gonna go down on SJT, you picked a popular place to do it--them switchbacks be tricky, both up and down. Hope you feel better soon, queenie.

If you do make it out tonight, first beer's on me. No pressure, though...

Another rider down . First Ethan's dad and now you. Glad it wasn't too bad. Healing vibs to you Willie. Hope to see you Jason at the Loop next week. I decided I would be on time to work tonight, so no loop for me this week. I'll be there next week. Get well soon.

Thumbs up Young female grasshopper...

It's not a matter of "if"... it's only a matter of "when" you will leave blood on the trail. I'm glad yours was not a serious one. I know you will heal and be back on the bike in a blink of the eye.

As others have said--at least you got a good crash out of the way!! And most importantly--cuts and scrapes and bruises are a whole lot better than broken bones and missing teeth.

I always feel a little sense of relief after a big crash when I realize I'm not too bad off. I had a good one at Daley Ranch a few weeks ago, so now I'm not "due" for awhile
