Exclamation Fullerton Trail Thanks - IMPORTANT!

Recently I made a post to call to attention the damage that was done by a homeowner along the trail system to the Loop in Fullerton. Your response to the city officials was overwhelming. I wanted to thank you for using your voice and helping get this issue noticed and resolved. Many of you have ridden and seen the improvements made to that section of trail to preserve it for our use. Either the owner or or the city took the time to make these precautions.

I would ask very kindly that if you can, take the time to email those you did before and say thank you for the efforts they placed in keeping that trail section ridable. As a community we can accomplish far more for our reputation by taking the time to say thank you to those we have pressed so hard.

Contact the Mayor, contact the city manager, contact their assistants, and let everyone know!

Here is the site to find all of the contact information.

City of Fullerton

Mayor Shawn Nelson 714.738.6311 Council@ci.fullerton.ca.us

City Manager Chris Meyer 714.738.6310 CityManager@ci.fullerton.ca.us

Asst. to the City Manager Joe Felz 714.738.6760 JoeF@ci.fullerton.ca.us

Thanks for the help in thanking these individuals!!

P.S. Here is a copy of my email for those who want to copy&paste.

Mr. Nelson, Mr. Meyer, and Mr. Felz,

.......Recently I wrote to you about the destruction of popular part of the Fullerton trail system. It is with great pleasure that I am writing you today to say THANK YOU!!
...... I’ll be honest I was not expecting such a response to be sent to you from my fellow riders. What pleased me most is the professional manner that you and your entire staff displayed in responding to us. It can be easy to tire of emails and allow irritation to find it’s way into a response especially at how many are sent to you regarding all the various matters of your city. You showed that you are not only a man of your words but that you take pride in maintaining your office and the trust given to you.
......If you have not had the opportunity to see the improvements made to the trail, may I tell you that they were great. Not 2 weeks after my first correspondence with you when I rode that section of the trail again they had repacked the surface and even placed sand bags on the outside edge of the trail to protect it. Visible care was taken, whether on the part of the city or the individual owner I know not. Please extend my thanks to all the individuals involved.
......I know of a surety now how much you, and all those involved care for your city and the standards that you maintain. In fear of being repetitive I’d like to thank you again for the efforts involved in verifying that thousands of people that enjoy the environment and trail system that Fullerton maintains may continue to freely do so.

Your Neighbor,

It is nice to see so many people who care about our trails.
The loop is a ride that many of us ride to brake up the week and escape from the everyday life and the stress that it causes. The people are a group of some of the coolest people I have ever met. All skill levels are always welcome.

I just want to say thank you for caring and I am sure many others are thinking the same thing.

The owner of the property had full intentions from the beginning to fix the trail at their expense so we as riders/hikers could still use the high section of the trail....the "damage" that was caused was necessary at the time to get the footings built for the wall....

The information list listed above is from a converstaion w/ the property owners and my friend at the Bldg Dept...who also rides the loop
