Angry Fullerton Loop Route Reminder

Hey folks, just a quick reminder that the Fully Loop is meant to be ridden clockwise from the courthouse trailhead. The reason i'm posting this is because we went out for a ride sunday afternoon and happen to see a couple of different mt. bikers riding the loop counterclockwise. Little did we know it ended up affecting our ride. There was a head on collision miss that cause my wife to panic and cause her to go over the bars.It happened in a blind spot at the tail end of the jungle trail near the dam right before the left uphill. The 2 suspect were coming downhill to damn fast with no helmets and the wrong way to begin with.

I have been riding the Fullerton loop on and off since 1986 and have ridden it both ways. There is no rule that says to ride clockwise. Whatever direction you chose to ride, just look where your going and watch for blind corners.

Next thing you know someone will say Rocket in Aliso is only OK to ride downhill. Either way, enjoy the ride!

Default I think I have the right idea?

The Fullerton loop is like the shrine in the movie Midnight Express. If you are a good Turk you circle to the left, counterclockwise. If you are a bad turk or a good American you circle to the right, clockwise.

Where have you been...Someone hucked him into the Lake.

So there are no Steven Jackson rules...And that goes for the direction of the Loop too. You can do that Loop anyway you want to. It's your responsibility to be alert and watch for other riders, horses, hickers, kids, animals, holes, etc. That is part of trail riding.

I know i goof around alot but, i am very aware that others, so just be careful of others who use the trail, Loop or otherwise.
