Some info from you guys/gals who use GPS units....

I would like to get one but was wondering if they are the same as I would use in a Heli...not looking to buy 2 different GPS units...

This is one I was looking at to fly w/ but don't know anything about this technology yet...and not sure if it is the same as what everyone uses mtn biking...

You won't want to drop high-dollar avionics off a cliff, and a heart rate monitor isn't much good for IFR conditions. Buy two, or save the money for fuel.

I agree 100%, two animals, different objectives, approach it accordingly. Garmin 295 for flying, Garmin 305 Forerunner for riding. Own them both and use them as mentioned.
I must say though I would like to see my heart rate as I shoot an ILS approach down to minimums.

Since the heli's I fly have GPS in them already I'll buy something like the Gramin 295 first...just was hoping to be able to combine...
