Heading up there this summer. I don't know where to ride but definitely need to. Any info is good as it's all new to me. The more technical the better Thanks.

You gotta check out the Rampage site -- if not to ride it, then to just take in the awesome scale of what those crazy bastards are hucking themselves off of. And Lor, from what Todd tells me, you might want to keep any hucking plans on the down-low. Wifey might not approve, eh?

I've done hardly any riding in the area, but I hear Flying Monkey is off the scale in tech factor, and Grafton Mesa has some thrills, too. Check em out:

Really you're in the heartland of riding. Everything is close to there. I'd hit the Slickrock swamp along with Gooseberry and Grafton just to name a few. There's tons of riding just within 1 hour of there.

Flying Monkey is a blast, there is some major exposure in a couple of sections, there are a ton of "options" that are Bender-style stupid lines! However, they are options, and not a part of the regular trail.

My parents used to live in West Yellowstone (thankfully no longer). There aren't too many trails available to MTB riding in the parks itself. The Redezvous Ski Trail is open to hikers and MTB riding. It's a cross country ski trail that isn't too technical, yet still a good way to see the park. I think there is also another trail that's called "The Block" that's a 64 mile loop that crosses over into Wyoming and back. For a challenge, you can ride to The Tower. Depending on the time of year you go, it can be a challenging trail. Not from the trail itself, but the wildlife in the area seem to like to congregate there. Watch for wolves.

Outside the park is a different story. My brother and I rode some seriously crazy trails just south of the city of West. Bonzai downhills and some VERY technical and exposed drops. Can you say 300' almost straight down. Talk with some of the local snowmobile rental places. They can give you TONS of trails in the area and which ones are open and which ones to avoid. There are literally hundreds of miles of single-track outside the park entrance all accessable from West Yellowstone.
