nevegals are a great all around tire

i havent ridden Sedona but I would imagine for that climate they would be a good choice?

if you aren't tubeless, you may want to convert before you go.

I run DH tubes and wire bead tires...I rarely if ever pinch flat..since going away from the thinner sidewall tire(foldiing bead)

Some say large knobs can feel squirrely on the slick rock, I have not noticed it. What I have noticed is that a can burn the back tire tread off a sticky compound Nevegal on slick rock in about 40 hours of riding. Last round in Sedona I ran a 2.55 Weirwolf LT on the front and a 2.35 Kenda Small Block 8 on the back...worked great. They are set aside for my next slickrock trip.

The WBT Exiwolfs on my single speed also work well in Sedona.

I have spent alot of time in Sedona and during the summer, I start at sunrise and get a ride done by 11am. That Red Rock radiates heat big time. Think about going up to Mt. Elden in Flagstaff in the afternoons, very close to Sedona. Remember Sedona swimming opertunities at Budda Beach and bottom of Huckaby Trail.

Most of Sedona is not sandy, it is red dirt and red slickrock...some of the best tire grip around.
