Paintball

[FONT=Verdana]About 4 guys decided to play a little paintball game in Whiting Ranch last Sunday. They were stupid enough to play not far from Concourse park - where Cactus/Sage Scrub meets Concourse road. I got to watch as the Black and White motored down and arrested them all.

I don't know why they would even do that there at Whiting when there is an area in O'Neill open space where they have paint ball fights. There were guys just off Crown Valley Pkwy. when I rode there this Sunday doing the same thing.

Its a steep fine plus i think they take your guns and destroy them... $500-1000 I was quoted... but that might be due to being on protected land.

I was riding around HB near the wetlands and some guys built an entire paintball field.. and as we watched them play, a ranger rolls up and rounded them all up and said he could of had them arrested and fined but was being nice and let them go as long as they promised not to play there ever again. And they had to destroy the field they built.

god i hate the people that are stupid and do stuff like that. Gives a bad name to paintballers

I know - I love to paintball - but in a protected wilderness park?!? Lame.

A couple years ago, a friend of mine got peppered by some paintballers on the Fullerton Loop in the area below the hospital (past the twin tunnels). Unfortunately, he was riding alone. Had that been me, I think I would have quickly left the scene and returned with my popgun. I haven't seen the paintballers there in a long time, so maybe the did get busted...or someone else shot 'em up.
