Default big kitty at oaks?!

so i went for a quick solo ride to santiago oaks this afternoon, as i neared the top of the three b's and got to the message board i saw a posting, big pic of a mountain lion, with the message "LAST MOUNTAIN LION SIGHTING 5/26/2007"

I took it pretty easy coming down after the three b's, no need in having fresh meat lying around bleeding if there's a big kitty cat around!

Anyone have more info?

Brian (Neccros) and I rode the Oaks up the 3b's and down Barham Trail yesterday. We didnt see any cats but we did see signs all over the place about them and some were very recent so we were definitely on the lookout. Did pass a couple snakes on the way down.

There has been a cat hanging around the bottom of Zips for years. You can almost always see the foot prints.

Speaking of Oaks. Brian and I rode down Barham Trail but we didnt think that was Chutes. Today on Geoladders I noticed peoples pics of Chutes was the Barham Trail we followed down. Anyone?

I must have been right behind you, and I had the same reaction. Put the armor on and took it slow.

I know the kitties are out there, one woke me up with that icky mating call about a month ago. Couldn't get back to sleep after that...but how many of these sightings are bobcats? The day before the fire I saw two...one up top watching over the play area, and one at the bottom that I spooked on the ride out. And I watched one catch and eat a bunny over at Peters a couple years ago.
