You and I are close I am 33 and 205 was almost 250. I wouldnt say I am hardcore but I guess I have changed a lot of things. If I can shed a little more fat and gain a little more muscle I will be stoked. Im not looking to be the 6ft 145lb guy!

Right on Jordan!

Some people always have excuses why they can't do something (admittedly, myself included). It's awesome to see you did whatever you had to. Now that you know the new you, it'll be easy to keep up the habits.

Thumbs up Keep it real Dude...

Don't get hung up on weight loss... you want to lose inches ... and remember that muscle weighs more than fat. It's how you feel and how your clothes fit on you that matters.... Hey, your heart is going to thank you for all this effort.

And Jordan, you couldn't meet a nicer group of people riding a MTB!

Wow, very cool. What a testament that finding something you love to do will take it off. I started riding 5 years ago and initially gained weight...mostly because I thought it was ok to eat MORE because I was "riding". That backfired. Soon I started managing what I ate and 20 lbs. came off. Being a girl I won't post before or afters but 2wheel_lee and Wreker knew me back then and can vouch for me. Good job and keep up the good work!!

Nicely done guys and much congrats to all of you. Last summer I basically stopped riding and put on a bunch of weight. I'm fitter and faster now. Getting back into the swing of riding was easy, but watching the diet was the hard part. I still love to drink beer, eat ice cream, eat lots white rice but just cut way back. Riding more singlespeed helped too.

I recently discovered I gained a lot sitting at my job 10-11 hours a day and not riding as much as I should. Now I realized I gotta get active son and watch what I eat as well...

Thanks Jordan for those eating tips you gave me last time we rode.... dunno why I didnt think about it!!! I am working on getting out of work normal time so I can get to rides like the loop on a regular basis again and ride more in general during the week after work....

Feels good doesn't it. Keep up the good work bro!! I've lost 56 lbs since 12/7/06 (when I started my weight loss plan). I started at 270 and am now at 214. It definitely makes riding a whole lot easier.

Here's my before and after pics:

Me at 270:

Most current pic taken last month at 220 lbs (6 pounds ago)

Ya, I have 4 lbs left to go to get to the top of my weight range, which is 200-210 lbs. I'm sitting at 19% body fat now and when I get to 210 lbs, I should be at 18%. My family doc and the trainer at the gym I go to said that a body fat range of 15-18% is considered very good.

As I'm sure you are feeling, it also feels sooo good to have the bulk of the weight loss behind me. Sure, I may pig out and have a "bad" week and gain a pound or two, but I know I can take that right back off if it happens. But having the bulk of it gone--awesome!!

You and I are in almost the exact same position. Also seem to be at almost the exact same weight. I have bad days here and there too just try and make up for it. For instance im here in AZ all week for Toyota and all they do is feeeeeed you at these events. I try and do good though and brought my running shoes to hopefully run a bit while I am out here. Would have brought the bike but I flew this time.

Ya, that'll be the day. Remember, you are still like 20-25 lbs lighter than me.

To even things out the next time we ride together, you should have to ride with Mike/Pain Freak strapped to your back. That way we'll be even

Well, now that you put it that way I'm really depressed! LOL

PacMan - awesome job!

TK & Jordan - there are def some Whiting loops in our future. Starting next week I'll be working limited hours for a while, so I wanna ride a bunch and improve my fitness. Gotta find a way to keep up with my friends on single speeds...without giving up chocolate, of course!
