Default Another good helmet story

As if you needed a reason to wear a helmet (cause we're all edumacated in here and wouldn't ride without one)....check out this story:

Exclamation Andy are you listening to this???

Too bad they didn't catch the hit and run driver... at least the guy is OK... lucky to be alive even with the helmet on!

On Sunday, I rode to the top of Blackstar with my gf, and on the way down, she had a relatively low-speed crash. In addition to the normal cuts, bruises, and scrapes (requiring 6 stiches on her left arm), she hit her head on a rock. She destroyed the helmet. Her memory wasn't very good for about half an hour, and then it fortunately fully came back.

She's doing OK now but, of course, she's a little sore. Thankfully, her helmet saved her.

I see guys carrying their helmets on their Camelbaks for "easy" sections of a trail. Unfortunately for them, natural selection may take its toll. Always wear your helmet.
