Arrow New Ride!

I picked up my new ride on thurday from RNR, and raced it on Saturday at hurkey. I realy like it. Its a specialized stumpjumper comp. I had tons of fun on the rocky climbs and luge descents in Idyllwild. Thanks so much to Rock N Road and Sho-Air for their help.

I've always loved their paint jobs. Looks like a solid parts spec.

Does specialized still do that under-the-down-tube cable routing? That's the only knock on them IMO.

Very nice ride Matt, congrats! Now I know why you weren't at Ned's for some good food. This time, lock it in the bedroom! Enjoy the new ride.

think alot of bike manuf are doing that. I have 2 bikes like that that are not specialized frames (kona. ells). just assumed designed to protect with less opportunity to damage cables. only time it sucks is if you have rack or storage system that relies on support under top tube. am i missing anything?

Sweet new rig, Matt. Looking forward to being passed by you several times in next year's VQ/CC Kidding, of course--first thing after buying a lock, you're planning to Stan's those tires...right?!

I'm guessing, but figure Wildcat was referring to routing under the BB, where cables could potentially be exposed to more damage. Never had trouble with my Stumpjumper, though, and it took way more than it's fair share of rock and log strikes.

It looked good in action Matt . It brought a tear to my eye to see you twist the bars on the bikes virgin outing, quick fix though. And dont forget to take a knife to that plastic disc behind the cassette. I quite fancy getting another geared hard tail...
