Talking Most embarassing moments on the bike?

So today, I'm at a stoplight at a busy intersection.... was sorta track standing a few feet into the crosswalk, expecting the light to change, but there was an extra delay I wasn't expecting for the left hand turn lane... I had one of those 'can't un-clip' moments and fell over, I was in a very visible spot and everyone in all directions looked at me while I'm trying to unclip off the ground and get back on my bike. I'm sure there were many laughs had, and it's all good, I know if I had seen it I might have wet my pants.

so it made me think that this might make for an entertaining thread... what's your embarassingly funny story?

Riding straight on a sidewalk coming off the end of a trail... front tire went flat and didnt notice right away had the ipod going... went to turn and the tire came off the wheel and twisted the bars... sent me over and to the side... as I am falling a little girl maybe 6 and her Mom come riding by me... "Are you okay? That looks embarassing" then she turned to her daughter as they rode past and said "dont ever be like him ok dear" WTF!!!! lol

I was trackstanding on a wet hill waiting for the stop light to change and as it changes someone runs the red. Well like Burner, i had one of those "can't un-clip" moments... Long story short, i fall over and start sliding backwards down the hill with all these people watching from the sidewalk and their cars lol. i got up and laughed and kept riding up the hill

Hard to narrow it down to just one, but....

Testing a new fork in my driveway with my riding partner/neighbor looking on, I stood up and compressed it as hard as I could a few times. On about the third push, I goofed and launched myself OTB on flat ground.

I always try to put on a good show when there's an appreciative audience.

I was volunteered by my wife to take a bunch of her newb co-workers on their first ride(s). I didn't mind--always good to introduce others to MTB-ing.

I'm ready to hit the trail, but they're all getting their gear on with their new bikes. I'm track standing in the parking lot while I'm waiting. A bit for practice and yes, a bit to show off. Well, the parking lot was a bit wet for whatever reason and without warning, my front wheel jack-knifes like crazy and I face plant onto the pavement. No injuries to the body, just the pride.

Oh yes--Mr. Cool has arrived

me - sort of an after ride thing.

was visiting and riding with a friend who lived back east. on one ride i took a nasty drop in a wet/mossy rock garden. landed right on the point of my hip. hurt like a mother f'er. i was able to get up even before my friend caught up. so whats so embarassing u ask.

We had plans to ride next day, so slept over his house that night on pull out couch and every time i rolled over in my sleep on side i bruised i involutarily screamed out in mad pain and woke myself up...including my friend, his wife and two young daughters this probably happened at least 5x times through the night.

while his wife got a chuckle out of it, his daughters were pretty freaked.

Here's some crash stories too: Crashes

I've had plenty of those 'can't clip out' moments but never on the road.

Just tell 'em it is from when you were a Green Beret in Vietnam. Then start to tell a story about it but let your voice trail off....

I was going down Cherry on signal hill, and the green light at willow thought I'd show off with a wheelie throught the intersection, well the curb was higher than I planned and some how I ended up tangled in my rear tire and ripped the left leg of my pants near off. I got up and could hear people laughing in their cars, and I just started busting up. Like a trooper got up rode home. A bit breezy though.

mine occured on portola after a whiting/stt/luge loop.

was hauling arse down the side walk and there was a stop light pole with the sidewalk curving out and around it. there is a nice little ramped curb that parralels the sidewalk and the landscaping, so i thought i'd be slick and ride up the ramped curb and back down it on the other side. my front tire managed to slip into the landscaping side of it while my back tire stayed on side walk and i ended up eating sh*t, slid a few feet on the sidewalk into the stoplight pole....of course the light was red, so a few people saw this happen. luckily no serious injuries occured.

another one that is almost as embarressing involved me eating shit twice in a row on a steep rock-roll. there were quite a few str members there to witness that.

I noticed about ten hotties playing volleyball at capo beach so I decide that I'm gonna ride a wheelie by them. I start my wheelie about 50 yards from them and I'm feeling like a big a stud as I approach, when I'm right next to them I need a little rear brake, but the old cantilever's weren't up to the task and I SLAM right onto my tailbone. People were laughing, clapping, pointing, and asking if I was ok. Of course I got right up said I was fine, and LIMPED away because I was in crazy pain.
