Default Battery charging question

Has anyone used a power inverter and the power jack in their car to charge their lighting system batteries? Any problems with doing it? Will my battery explode-or just my car?

No problem at all. Just make sure the draw on the charger doesn't exceed the capacity of the inverter. The charger should state the draw and output. The 12V jack in your car is fused and most power converters (charger) are more than capable of handling any possible voltage fluctuations.

Agreed. Make sure the inverter has the capacity.

The inverter I use ($30 @ Target) works for my Niterider Headtrip battery, but shuts off when I try to charge my Niterider HID.
