All right I guess it's close enough to happening that I can let ya'll know. I'M MOVING !!

Don't get me wrong I LOVE Long Beach, I wasn't born there but I've lived there since I was three. Needless to say I've had a major dream come true and got a brand spanky new Job and because of where it's located I decided to relocate, rather than loose half my life in a car. The new home city is (drum roll please) ... ALTA LOMA!

SO, anyone know any good trails out there??? I took the 210 there instead of the 10 this time and saw TONS of what looked like rideable trails along the foothills. From where I live it's like 3 miles to where the road ends at the base of the foothills and I've got this itching feeling I'm going to be riding A LOT more .

I just wanted to take this opportunity to say, WAAAHOOO!!!

I used to live in Alta Loma and now live in Fontana, just about 10 miles east of you, I bet. Some of the fireroads up there are rideable. I've done RR on San Sevaine and Cucamonga Canyon. Do a search for them if you're interested. The Claremont Wilderness Park and the Marshall Canyon trail are the closest well-maintained trails. San Sevaine and Cucamonga Canyon don't get as much love, unfortunately. But, they have their beauty, I think. I have enjoyed climbing Cucamonga Canyon (at the top of Sapphire) and I imagine that Pain Freak could be induced to go up there again.

Welcome to the 909. It's better than you think. :-) That should be the new slogan for the area. Sure, there's some parts that suck but then, there's some parts of Long Beach I don't want to go to either.

I use to live out in pomona. You have lots of trails nearby. Marshall Cyn, Claremont, Sunset Peak, Bonelli, and others in the angeles ntl forest.

Don't forget the often overlooked Mt. Baldy area.

There's also the Southridge XC race course in Fontucky and Bonelli Park off the 57 fwy. You have a lot more options if you are willing to drive west along the 210; Chantry Flats in Arcadia and a bunch of trails in Pasadena.

Chantry's been on the to do list for a mighty long time, can't seem to get guys out on a Saturday though. And thank you every one for the trail names thus far, I swear does any one else feel the cleats on the bottom of their feet when they're itching to get out and ride.

Nam, he's moving to Alta Loma, not Bloomington. Sheesh. Alta Loma's a nice place, dude. Million dollar homes and sh*t, yo.

I hear you about the Saturdays. I *can* ride on some Sundays, but Saturdays are much better, in general. I guess most cyclists are god-forsaken heathens.

Amen.

And those that ride on Saturday have just pasted the Denial stage and have moved on to acceptance.

Don't forget: Sunset Peak & Clover Peak (where the antennas are) and the Turkey Ride.

Yeah, does it also mean you'll have rusty bike frames on cinder blocks in your front yard?
