Big Kitties on STT/Luge or Blackstar?

Talked to a rider this morning who relayed a story of someone spotting a mountain lion on Santiago Truck Trail this past Thursday evening. The same rider also mentioned reports of recent sighting(s) on the Blackstar/Motorway loop, and suggested that there may be be some youngsters setting up new territories in those areas.

Not trying to cause alarm, and we all know they're out there. Just wondering if anyone else has heard of these recent reports, or if they are mistaken identities, or ??? Confirmation or debunking, anyone?

i was there thursday night and didn't see any mountain lions...but maybe they saw me

I heard the same stuff a few weeks back and one of them times was the same time my light gave up on me before the Luge!! maybe they're trying to scurr u off a little? than again that one time we did Black Star @ nigth there was a ranger telling us to becareful b/c he saw one around that time.

Was riding in caspers, out the backyard of a friend's house in coto, the group split and half, not my half, said they saw a small to medium mountain lion on there way back. I wish i knew more about exactly where the cat was, but they swear it was a mountain lion. This was the weekend of april 1st, so about a 3 weeks ago.
