El Moro Poker Ride

Registration is now open for the 2007 El Moro Poker Ride to benfit the Crystal Cove Interpretive Assoc.
CCIA has been very supportive of mountain biking in El Moro and has done much to support SHARE Mountain Bike Club projects.
The ride is on May 5th.
Grand Prize is a KHS Solo-one 29er Single Speed.
Fat Tire beer is back and we are promising bigger and better hot dogs this year.

Sprockethead would make a great Jester. He rides slow enough these days that even I would be able to chase him down! We'd all be guaranteed the wild card.

That's a great idea. I still have no idea how somebody got 6 Aces a few years ago.

We use seven complete decks of cards. When cards are chosen they get recorded on your scoresheet and the card goes back into the deck so it's actually possible to get 7 aces.

The length of the course depends on how many cards you decide to go for and what route you decide to take. There are seven checkpoints but you only need 5 cards. Going to the 6th and 7th checkpoint increases your chances of winning but they are not required. There is no set course. We just give you the locations of the checkpoints and a map. The way you get to them is entirely up to you.
One catch, checkpoint #7 is roving. It could be anywhere, at any time.
