Default Goggle Recommendations

I'm looking for a decent set of goggles to wear with my Azonic T-55 FF helmet. Don't want to spend "buku bucks", and don't want anything "el-cheapo". Why can't ski goggles be used? Any recommendations?

well for me, i tried to wear normal mx goggles but they didnt feel right for the small full faced helmet i wore... so i got a pair of utopia goggles and they have thicker foam for a more secure fit... check utopiaoptics.com
i bought the slayer and love them but have also heard good reviews on the Too Dirty goggles... they'll run between 50 and 60 bucks...

I use ski goggles and they seem to work okay. Steepandcheap has deals on them pretty regularly. They don't have as much ventilation as some of the moto goggles I've seen, but they do the job and they're pretty cheap. I didn't want to spend a lot on something that was going to get bashed around anyway.

I know that some folks prefer just wearing regular low profile sunglasses with the FF.

if you love them so much why dont u marry them sherbak... i use spy alloy frames with a mirrored lense. mostly for the cool factor. ltmq. spy has a really cool soft felt for the face area, as compared to normal foam, use rain-x "fog-x" for the interior portion of the lense, applied properly, it wont fog.

I have a few pair of A-frames as well and they rock. can get expenisive based on lens choice. prob dont need the iridium as not as much glare as you get on snow.

if looking for something similar and cheaper (brand new price) check these oakley out Oakley MX ENDURO O FRAME Goggles - Purchase Oakley mx goggles from the online Oakley store

My fav's for moto are ProGrips with transition lenses. Try them with your helmet though because they are pretty big and some helmets don't have a big enough opening for them to seal against your face properly.

I also have the new Oakley Crowbars with irridium lenses. They look cool but the lenses scratch really easily. They are smaller than the ProGrips so they should fit most helmets.

As far as ski goggles, The problem I could see is that most are dual lens and if dust got in there you're screwed.

Buy your goggles at a motorcycle dealer. They are way cheaper. Especially if they are having an open house or sale. Same with gloves.

I have the new Oakley crowbars as well, haven't noticed the easy scratching, and they fit well in my Troy Lee lid. I too would recommend buying from a moto shop, lots of choices on replacement lenses as well.

most boarding/ski goggles 2 lens style would be hard to get dirt in between of. they normally have foam rubber with adhesive on either side between each lens, effectively sealing the space between.

The only problem with ski goggles for me is that they're a little warmer than normal goggles. Besides the double lens to prevent fogging in cold weather, there's no difference.
