Default Re: Fiddy (50cc) riders at Del Cerro

Last friday I was riding at Del Cerro with a friend of mine that was down from Washington St. We rode down Giant Slalom and as we were walking our bikes (Ok ok ok...my friend brought his DH bike so I was walking with him) back up we came across some 50cc riders at the "rock jump."

I was very annoyed with this and already kinda po'd so I went up to them and said "this isn't cool, you should be riding those here!" They said some stuff back, not enough for me to get really mad, they just said stupid stuff like "we didn't know that you can't ride these here" and "there are not any signs posted" and my favorite "nobody said anything to us!"

To make a long story short, I left to go up and hit the jumps and I guess they said some stuff to my friend regarding "kicking my ass" and he was smart enough to not say anything to me until they left.

Anyone else see this before up there? What did you do? What didn't you do? What would you do? Del Cerro is already hostile enough between the doggie walkers, horseyback riders, hikers and even the DH/FR riders and the spandex wearin' XC guys. We don't need "fiddy" riders there ruining it forever!

Was just there yesterday. Only saw the usual suspects + a unicycle rider. No dirt bikers. Not sure what I'd do if I saw those guys there . . .

If they're punks, take the key out of their bike and don't give it back. A long push with a moto sucks.

Hmmm I didn't realize that those bikes took a key? That is a good idea though! Something to think about if I run into them again. They were all about 19 or 20. Piercings and tattoos and a bad attitude to boot! I could have taken all three of 'em but it's not worth it.

A friend of mine was in court today for a battery charge he got over a parking spot! Yep, he punched out a dude over a parking spot and he got arrested! Makes me really not want to get into a fight!

Mark my words, Del Cerro will burn again if they keep coming. With how dry Del Cerro gets all you need is Dude with a bad attitude, and not enough respect for the heat his 50cc creates

Not sure about Del Cerro but I spoke with a park ranger once and he said if he catches a 50cc rider, thats a $1000 fine...
