I was supposed to get a test bike last year, maybe in Sept, but after a few emails and a return phone calls, I never got the final call to pick up a bikes. I was bummed. I was in the market for a bike and really would have enjoyed trying one out.

Don't like the looks or the ride? The Evo's not the prettiest thing but it's definitely the real deal. And the people of Chumba are first class.

scruff, as shallow as it may sound, i'm not too hyped on the looks. i did sit and pedal an EVO at the str swap meet. it did feel okay, but i didnt really get it out on the dirt, other than a slight incline and a curb to go up and down on. the price is a bit up there as well, if im gonna drop that kinda coin on a bike i'd get a turner. (can't believe i just said that ) not only are those frames sexy (the turners) but they are tried and proven. to me, it looks like the chumba frames are just trying to be different for the sake of being different by having some wild design.

i'm sure the people there are great, i'm just not a fan of their frame designs.

well if they looked like every other bike out there, there would be no rason to have a bike company. we could all just buy turners instead. right???

Fair enough. You gotta love what you ride as the Path tshirt says.

Well, I'll agree that I'm not a fan of the high toptube on their frames like the EVO. Though, I've never ridden one either. But I've always admired what I've read about the company. How they got started, the fact that their local to Orange County, etc.

For me it's a balance between performance, looks and price for frames. So though I may not buy an EVO today. Bottomline I say the more companies out there building bikes the better.

The chumba rides good still waiting to try an XCL but the evo goes down better than a liquored up fat girl (at least that is what Gabe has told me)

I like a ton of standover. If I was looking from a new bike Wolfhound would be on the top of the list.
