Default Water bottle mfgs

Does anyone know of a local (southern california) water bottle manufacturer? Like the pop-top bike bottles we all use. Small or large, doesnt matter. Im looking for someone to work on a special project that i've got going...

only taking a guess but assume all that stuff is mfg overseas. but you may be able to find a sales rep stateside? maybe start by going through all the free swag you get and races/events (I always seem to score water bottles) and call up the event coordinators to see who they purchased through? also anticapte any "promotional" event company can get you product as well. hope it helps

a friend of mine is in the 'swag business' (orders pens, shirts, glow balls, etc), are you looking to put a design on the bottle, or is this a tinkering project?

Its more of a tinkering project. Labels are easy, but im looking at a slight redesign. which is why a small manufacturer is better. And i dont speak chinese!

Have you tried asking around at REI, they've got entire sections devoted to nothing but water bottles. Pretty sure they would know something about who/what/where as far as MFG goes.

You might try calling Purely Custom. Purely Custom - You dream it... we make it
They usually do work in aluminum but they might know someone who does plastics.

To build a mold, even a cheap aluminum one will run a few thousand bucks. (You would end up with well over 10,000 bottles though) Are you still interested? I have a number of tool and die guys who I work with on a variety of projects, but they always want to be paid. I can help on the material end as I have whatever you need and I'll do it at cost or free if I can.
