Default You are no longer a newb when...

You are more concerned about being able to clip in than being able to unclip.

You clear your first SJT switchback.

Whiting becomes unexciting.

You reach the flagpole and decide to continue on to Old Camp.

The flagpole at the Luge is only the warmup.

Peter's Canyon is where you take newbie riders and yer kids.

You can make it past the pavement on Maple Springs.

You start chasing rabbits(other riders) up hill.

You don't stop every 5 mins. during a ride.

when you take your bike with you when you go out of town.

when you ask people you just met in a social setting if they mountain bike.

when your wife ask you after a crash, when are you going to stop riding and you tell her when you close the lid.

Similar. Own category and budget bucket on mint.com. And check it regularly during the day when browsing online bike shops.

When family and friends start off conversations with, "where'd you go riding," or "how was your bike ride today?," just assuming you ride whenever possible.

When you talk about mountain biking so much your wife knows all your riding buddies by name (even if she's never met them) and knows the trail names and locations, mtb lingo, and types of bikes even though she's never ridden a mtb bike or been on a trail.
