Default A day in irvine

Living in irvine is pretty great. I got access to a lot of great local trails. There is this empty dirt field in front of my appt and it just so happens that someone( back in the day) built some jumps there. My friend and I decided that we should add some more jumps there. A little table top and some doubles. Just need more rain to pack them down. Anyways here some shots of the action.

1. Table top makes it easy
2. The A$$ shot (I fell afterwards)
3. I like this shot
4. Of course the pink cruiser action

the handlebar bent downwards a little but thats about it. Pretty tough cruiser. I will miss it though since someone stole it.

Kinda funny how everyone except video producers suggest helmets for the ride.

dude87-glad to hear you at least were thinking about it. Now would you actually strap it on too??

hey he's got a nice basket to catch anything that gets loose if he tanks it, right? j/k - think we all take a few chances leaving off helmet here/there when playing around but agree, you gotta keep that melon protected on dirt and snow

Looking back at all the stuff I did as a kid without a helmet, it's amazing that I'm alive. Having said that, I think the feeling of having protection on makes us feel bulletproof, whereas without the gear we're a bit more cautious (not the case when I was a kid, though).

Maybe riding without a helmet is simply natural selection. Let it continue to exist.

Yeah, where is that?

you are telling me, i can't believe all the crazy stuff we used to do as kids in our neighborhood and local jumps. luckily the worst injuries usually consisted of broken arms/wrists.

I've heard of a couple of those, but I couldn't identify any of their songs. I guess I'm getting old.
