Not Really Here

Just wanted to give props to Garmin. I had an Edge305 that was basically destroyed when it hit the pavemet; screen smashed, buttons popped off. I contacted Garmin and sent it back for "repair". For $50.00 + $3.00 shipping they sent me a brand new unit in less than a week! Granted the units aren't cheap to begin with, but what awesome customer service that makes them worth every penny. If anyone is looking for a GPS unit Garmin can't be beat.Peter |

Yep they are a good company. Sometimes when companys get big, customer service suffers...not the case with Garmin.
I bought a used unit off E-Bay and after a couple years the toggle switch stopped working. Set it in they fixed it for free and not ask any quesions. They also updated base streets maps for free and updated the firmware for free. I was impressed. Dean

Hit me.

Their customer service may get good marks but the product s-u-c-k-s. When mine shows up again (whenever) it will be my fourth Edge 305.
First: altimeter read 65,616ft. out of the box, sent back without even using it once; Second: screen continually froze, couldn't turn it on/off, recorded partial rides numerous times; Third: screen would freeze (not as much), most days couldn't acquire a satellite, and simply wouldn't record some rides; Fourth: .........who knows? Tired of everyone and their dog telling me how perfect theirs have been. Dang it.....
