Oh, one more thing Jared. Do you have a Palm connected to your computer? If you do, Palm Desktop locks the com port so you can't use it. You'll need to exit Palm Desktop then the com port will be available for your serial device.

If this didn't work I was going to suggest going to the garage and grab a hammer and smash to pieces then take it back and ask for your money back....lol
