Default Question about the Path service

Does The Path service/rebuild Manitou forks? It isn't clear on their website if they do or not. I have a Manitou Nixon Platinum Intrinsic. It has been knocking for a while then today it locked up, and one of the seals blew out.

If they don't, does anyone know a good place near Aliso Viejo that does it for cheap?

    Thanks

I am sure the path does services on forks, but It sounds to me, that specially with locking up, your looking at more than a service, or quick rebuild. This would be an items I would reccomend one of two directions.... Send it back to Manitou, or send it to Drake down as Isotuned. Biggest reasons for these suggestions, its going to take mroe than seals and oil, your probably going to be in need of bushings, possibly a new cartridge, in those situations, its always better to go with those that will have those parts in stock.

I don't know if I can return it to Manitou as I got the fork second hand. But I guess I will have to try.

How can I contact Drake? How are his prices for something like this?

Thanks guys, I'm taking it up to the Path tomorrow. Hopefully they can shed some light on this. If not, then I will check with Drake.

If the Path (Great Service BTW) cannot do it, heed the advice, try GarageWorks. They stock parts for Manitou, saved my ride weekend with a damper rod in stock. Lounge in a skanky chair and have a drink while watching MTB Videos!

Instead of asking here - wouldn't it have been easier to just call The Path and ask them directly over the phone?

As far as the sending it to manitou, that part has nothing to do with if your the first, second, third owner. They are just one that has all the parts needed at hand.

I ended up going to The Path and got a rebuild, they fixed it up and it was ready the next day.

It's actually better now than it was when I bought it (used). We'll see how it hold up in the next few weeks.
