I have a pair, but for mtb'ing I don't care for them much. They work better for my road riding. For mtb'ing I like the REI bike gloves the cold weather ones. I still recommend a liner with them in case it gets to warm and you get the inside wet from the sweat, then it's worse then having exposed hands. Make sure the liners are the wicking type (I made that mistake too)

I agree - I like the Raji's too - but I don't think most people want a cold weather glove to be lightweight and breathable. The PI Cyclone is intended to be used during inclimate weather.

I recently purchased a pair for winter riding, and more specifically Counting Coup if it's cold.
Um, I don't think they're doing the job I assumed they'd do. We rode from Maple Springs down to Blackstar Saturday morning (it was about 45 at Maple Springs) and I had to stop near the church to attempt to warm my hands up. Hadn't felt my fingers the entire way down and they were beginning to seem twice their normal size. Night ride last night with temps between 45 and 32. Fingers were fine climbing, but anything flat or descending, they got cold real fast. I just ordered a pair of 04 Lobster Claws today, and I hope that they work better. |
