No bike stuff here. In fact, my wife and I dont even buy each other things as we have all we need. And as I type this waiting for the last of the kids to wake, up I realize we really overdid it this year with SO many presents under the tree.....cant wait till they all wake up! Cheers |

Well, looks like so far for xmas I have gotten a few small things. I'm not married so I don't have a wife who will buy me a new bike...yet. I did however get some new shorts and a jersey and a few little do-dads for my bike. I also got some electrolyte powder mix and some endurolytes. Probably gonna go buy myself some new MTB shoes and maybe some pedals though, or wait for a new helmet. |

Rain and cold weather biking clothes for me. Scott and crew won't get to AZ. in time to ride today so X-Mas day will be me exploring some new dirt around Black Canyon City in Arizona. Called a Livestock Driveway...used to be a drive trail from The Old West...locals been building new trails out there...will be 62 miles of singletrack when done. Arizona kicks butt compared to Cali when it comes to spending tax dollars on outside recreation. Trail info

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to all STR........no known bike gifts, but a trip to Denver with snow and mountains (and good beer) is a gift my wife and I gave each other....enjoy the rides this week while I'm freezing my b***s off.

The cycling Santa was good to me and the family today!
My daughter got new full finger gloves -pink of course - and some half finger ones also. Her favorite was a new helmet, the Lazer Girls Pony Helmet, very "girlie" as she told me! I got some new all black ENO cranks and matching 32t and 34t rings, black is this years pink! The monster gift I already knew about...........a custom Titanium SS frame, made for me by the guys at Lynskey! A custom paint job has been paid for by my family so I will be designing it, I am thinking a salute to 80's metal bands with ghost flames and the usual bling draped all over it!! Happy Holidays all and now I am heading out for a ride!

I did alright. I got two jerseys a riding jacket (cannondale , high end stuff), a pair of Hoss mountain biking shorts. A very expensive Polar HRM, but it's set up for running, but I think I can still use it. I'm going to go back to training for triathlons, so I might as well keep it. There are just so many things these little gadjets can do now that to figure them all out is nerve wracking. Very thanful for everything I have and the fun I have with all my other fellow mountain bikers.
Life is good. Now I have an excuse to ride this morning. I need to check out the HRM. |
