Merry Xmas to all, and to all a good whiskey (the only way to enjoy crazy relative days).

No bike stuff here, not for Xmas anyway (got most of what I needed throughout the year), but I have all the warm gear to try snowboarding.

Don't do presents any longer.....don't need anything.

Christmas present to myself was a nice 4 hour solo ride in a very quiet LCWP.

Only 2 bikers, 4 hikers, and 2 runners seen the entire morning.

Hope everyone gets plenty of time-off for Christmas and New Years to get in some good riding.

See ya on the trails

Santa was good to me too. Beyond work clothes and the etc....Pearl Izumi riding jacket, Oakley MTB shorts, Pearl Izumi long pants, bike socks and this cool wall clock in the center of a small knobby tire- the hands are tools and the numbers are on spokes!

Merry Christmas!!! Have a safe and Happy New Year!

No bike stuff for me. I'm like some of the others here, I pretty much get what I want the rest of the year. A week ago, however, I got a call from my sister-in-law saying that she wanted to buy my brother a new bike for Christmas/birthday, since his b-day is early Jan. That meant that I got to go bike shopping! IMO, almost as much fun as getting your own bike. The best part is that I ride with my bro just about everyday, so I will get to see the bike in action a lot! '07 Enduro Pro, brown ano. finish to match the STR theme!

The best gift I got this Xmas... well, one of my former students emailed me the other day. See, she goes to USC and since I was her favorite teacher and I wrote her a recommendation letter and she works in the ticket office, she was thoughtful enough to call me and pick up a pair of...

Rose Bowl tickets!

Boooooyaaaa! I've never been to a bowl game before, so this is pretty exciting! We're in the student section, so it should be fun. (As long as the Trojans win.)

My wife bought me a USC cycling team jersey, too. My dad got me Guitar Hero II. (I also bought two new bikes this year, sooo...)

What a great Christmas. I gotta go rock "Shout at the Devil," now.

You know if you get in a fight with your wife and she kicks you out and doesn't want to go, I know a neighbor of yours who will go.

Aside from the Ti IF SS earlier this year (early XMas present), got a Pearl Izumi jacket, gift card at the LBS, and a new Thomson stem for the hardtail. I bought myself a present for the 5 Spot: a new RP23 shock.

Then to top things off, the wife let me go out and ride the Turner today for a shake down eval on the rear shock. Methinks I've been overtraining lately. My legs have felt like lead for 4 days now. My heart rate was 20 bpm higher than normal on the ride, too.

I got a new Giro helmet-old one was crushed by a falling bookcase, that's it. MTB's on the shelf until next summer, when I'm finally out of school, so bike gear's not a priority. Non-bike stuff are a Tag Heuer watch, a new ring, and some clothes/shoes etc. Oh, and my fiance offered to have my FJ dropped so it's easier getting in.

Oh, and an Olympus FE-170 Dig. Camera.

Merry Christmas!!

Well Merry Kwistmakuh to all!

Not too much bike related this year.. Canari wind jacket and the Brian Lopes mtb book, along with odwalla bars and stuff. Other than that, got a new beanie and gloves for skiing, and HP iPAQ 2495x pocket pc(personal media player, with the usual palm stuff, plus WiFi!!), and a Nikon digi cam. For myself, i bought a 2003 Nissan Frontier king cab. Didnt really want that one though....

Im pretty pleased with the gifts i gave though. North Face Denali jacket for my pops, REI Mistral jkt and BlkDiamond headlamp for mom, running sweater and wind jacket for sister, and a s*** load of stuff for the gf. Thats the part i like best about christmas though, getting gifts for everyone else. I seriously had the best time shopping this year. I refused to ask people what they wanted, nor tell them what i wanted. Gift giving is all in the thought behind it, not how much loot you walk away with at the end of the night.

anyways, have a great new years all of you!
