Default Not biking related

Was riding this AM...started getting phone calls telling me "Surfs Up". Our favorite surf spot that only goes off with a strong Northwest storm swell was ripping today.

Picture is at a local North Laguna break called "The Lounge" Pelican Point Reef is to the left just out of the picture. This was not at low tide...it only got better. Surf is to build tonight abd stay big tomorrow. If you get a chance check it out.

Disclaimer: If roadies get to post I get to through up the ocasional surf pic.

Way bigger then I care for. I surfed almost every single day for 10 years, rain, wind, cold I didn't care. Now if I go to the beach it better be in the high 60's or I ain't getting in that water.

What happened?

I longboard when: the conditions are right, my friend Jim brings me one of his extra boards, and when we have the waves to ourselfs. This break rarely breaks so when it does, usually no one is around, it was starting to get busy later in the afternoon, after the word got out. Tommorow it will be like every other So-cal break with all the BS that does along with surfing "The Local's Spot".

looks good and should be getting better, as long as the wind doesn't pick up over night. hmmmmm to ride or surf...that is always the question!

There's nothing like a big winter swell for Xmas.
It's raining here - the ocean is looking like a great option...

Hey Steppie, nice pic! Did you get a chance to see if Brooks St. was firing? It usually goes off on larger swells, breaking on that outer reef, watchout for the boils out there!

In Crystall Cove State Park. Right across the street from Trader Joe's

Didn't go to that end of town. Looking down the coast everything was going off...Cystall Cove was even breaking.

Brooks and Rock Pile have militant locals, so I stay away.
