Am I on crack or did Mavic make a Dee Max rim that was NOT 135mm with 28 spokes? OK, I have the 135mm with 28 spokes. I want to get a Chris King hub for my rims but they don't make a 28 spoke hub. I have seen pics of people riding Dee Max rims with Chris King hubs...how is this possible?
Thanks for the help, guys! ![]()

were they specifically badged as DeeMax? the Deemax rim is essentially the same as the 719? rim. Maybe not 719, but one of the bighit rims.. which they will make in a 36h as well.
I do think that King is missing a spot in the XC market by not offering a 28h hub, but then again, with their prices and the rate of sale, im sure they dont need the extra income.. 28 is all you need! |

The Deemax comes in 32 count spokes for the 12x150 model and 28 count for the 10x135. So the people you are seeing running king hubs are using the hoops fron a 12x150 set that they probably had custom built and not retrofitted.
Hope makes 28 hole front and rear XC hubs (I run hope bulbs and like them better than Kings) Phil Wood makes a 28 hole front only Hadley does not make a 28 hole hope this helped |
