I think it's meant to be. Consider these rearrangements of EndoMaster & Flux:
1) endomaster flux ---> Medals next four OR 2) endomaster flux ---> Damsel next four Either way dude you've got babes or you're on the podium at your next four races!! ![]() |

I would recommend the 5 Spot over the Flux. I had one before and it's "hands-down" the best all around XC/trail bike. If you don't have the extra money floating around in your bank account, then you might want to consider the new Chumba XCL or Blur 4x (if you can't maintain that low weight goal). Well, I'm just saying that these other burly XC frames are made to last for a not so light weight XC rider who may want to explore new things down the trail. Good luck in your search!

endo - i get it. a new bike makes training lots more fun somtimes. good luck with it and see you at vq.
as for the bikes, i personally would not recommend the flux. it's very similar to the burner from a couple years ago that i had, and that was the most inefficient bike i've ridden. i've found turners to have a lot of bob and poor pedaling. although, the frames are very stiff and dont flex much at all, which is nice. some people have questioned my suspension set up, but i tried a number of options which were all set up in person by the guys at push. i think they know what they're doing.... i fully agree with those who recommend the vpp, or, i'd even through single pivot into the ring. i'm now riding a superlight and its the best bike i've been on. you may want to check out the blur xc or lt (the lt is great) depending on how much travel you'd like. only downside to santa cruz bikes is they are in pretty hot demand right now and finding the size/model/color you're after might be difficult. |

Well, seeing how I'm always thinking about performance vs. price. If I were you with a 2K budget, I'd buy a Kona King Kikapu. With a Fox RP3 shock on there it pedals really well and is plush. Sure it weighs a little more than the Turner but it's strong and not a total tank. Take the extra money you would have spent on a Turner frame and get a bad ass custom built wheelset light and strong. Maybe DT 240 hubs on Stan's rims.
Note I still think the DW-link/Giant Maestro suspension bikes pedal really well too especially if you sit most of time. But with a Fox RP3 on the Kikapu that's a sweet bike. |
