Our 2000 4Runner spent the first few years of its life in Vermont, NH, and Maine until the recent trip out to SoCal. It's been an excellent rig for car-camping, bike hauling and been super reliable, as expected with a Toyota. Not sure I'd get another SUV (especially living in SoCal) but it made sense in 2000 in the Northeast, which someone once described as eight months of winter and four months of really poor sledding.

nice wrx wagon, i was really close to getting a wrx sedan but went with a tC to save $$$. one of the only things that i didnt like about the wrx was that the back seat didnt fold down. i didnt wanna haggle with putting a rack on everytime i wanted to ride. (i guess i coulda got the wrx wagon, d'oh)

It's a modified Borg Warner S300 with a 14cm exhaust housing and a 62mm compressor wheel. The wastegate is set at 50 psi. Industrial Injection calls it their Super Phat Shaft 62 (it has a larger than normal shaft...so they claim).
After the tranny is modified, I should be able to get about 450hp at the rear wheels with about 900 ft-lb torque with the mods I have. Where do you work? Last edited by 2wheel_lee; 02-13-2007 at 01:56 PM. Reason: Automerged Doublepost |

I haven't been able to find a good web site. The only one I find is Dynamic Autosports
Do they have a new one? What do you do there? BTW, doing a search, I found some cool stuff from the shop. Also, keep in mind that the truck redlines at 3250 rpm. |

yea, thats the site... it sucks, we don't spend time with the site.... too much other crap to deal with. i'm a paper pusher and operator... i handle the wholesale accounts since we are a warehouse distribution center. we also build and tune cars here, as well as do normal install jobs.

I've had 12 bikes and 5 folks loaded up no problem. I onced towed my friend's Dodge Power Wagon and he said I acclerated faster towing his truck than his truck can accelerate on it's own! ![]() |

The tC is really nice looking car. If I didn't have kids and wasn't obessed with turbos I would have bought one. Quote:

Reminds of Dodge truck I saw at the El Mirage with about 1400 ft/lbs of torque spewing thick black spoke out of the exhaust ala tractor pulling. It would be cool to that thing on Bio-Diesel. Last edited by Nagaredama; 02-13-2007 at 05:45 PM. Reason: Automerged Doublepost |
